Associate Attorney The candidate will work for a litigation and trial law firm. Will concentrate on Wage & Hour and Consumer Class Actions, Employment Law, Personal Injury and Business Litigation. Responsible for client intake through Court Appearances: status conferences, law & motion and trial. Law & Motion drafting class certification motions, discovery motions, legal and factual research; organize and analyze case information. Research and identify relevant judicial decisions, statutes, codes and case law. Prepare and draft legal documents (motions, pleadings, agreements, contracts, legal forms, correspondence, declarations, discovery, subpoenas, and legal memoranda). Trial preparation (motions in limine, witness lists, exhibits, pre-trial motion. The candidate must be licensed to State Bar. Must have 2 to 3 years of experience. Position requires knowledge of state and federal procedures and court rules. Admission to multiple District Courts and a Ninth Circuit a plus. Must be fluent on Microsoft Office and all eFiling Platforms. Experience with eDiscovery Platforms Clearwell, Relativity, Nuix,or other eDiscovery platforms is a requirement or the ability to learn quickly. Good negotiations skills are required since direct client contact is mandatory, as well as 40 hours minimum a week via billing sheets and an occasional late night.
