Paralegal / Legal Assistant The candidate's duties includes maintaining calendar, deadlines, preparing various pleadings, notices and responses to discovery, setting hearing dates, depositions and mediations, preparing materials required by attorneys for hearing, e-filing throughout the state of Florida and federal courts, working with time keeping systems, maintaining virtual and paper case files, scanning all documents that relate to client files, any other tasks/projects as assigned by attorneys or office manager. Must have previous experience in office administration or other related fields. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Strong attention to detail required. Strong organizational skills required. Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and have some experience using practice software. Excellent phone skills required. The candidate should have 5 years of experience working in a law firm.
