Staff Attorney The candidate will help lead the formulation and execution of marketing and strategic plans that address the business development goals and needs of your assigned practice groups and the individual partners within these groups. Will prepare and manage the development of sophisticated and effective responses to requests for proposals and pitch materials. Provide regular market research and analysis, including business intelligence on marketplace trends and key competitors, with the goal of identifying opportunities to increase revenue and enhance profitability. Manage the deal tracking for designated practices firmwide, including working with the relevant lawyers and Public Relations team to ensure the matters are reported to the appropriate league tables and publications and are featured as appropriate in pitch materials. Regularly draft articles for industry publication and/or e-communications for firm to self-publish to relevant client contacts. Edit and manage the practice groups participation in relevant submissions to external periodicals and ranking services, in a manner that highlights the strengths and accomplishments of the groups and individual lawyers. Oversee the development and maintenance of the practices marketing collateral, brochures, lawyer biographies and content for practice group web pages. Collaborate with partners and other colleagues in connection with our participation in high-impact conferences and events, including on-site support and the preparation of presentation and marketing materials for such events. Monitor legal developments relevant to the designated practices, working with lawyers and staff involved in the group s knowledge management efforts, and provide advisory and research assistance. Help oversee the group s training efforts and be among those called upon to lead certain sessions regarding business development programs. Liaise with other practice support lawyers and business development/marketing personnel across firm offices and practices regarding revenue-generating initiatives. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Must have Law degree. Should have 3+ years of experience as a practicing attorney. Exposure to Marketing or Business Development disciplines is a plus. Special Knowledge: Strong understanding of corporate finance, M&A and/or energy industry is essential. Knowledge of MS Office suite and other standard law firm computer software is essential. Must have strong project management experience as well as the ability to manage and mentor junior staff and lead teams.
