Intellectual Property Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities: Provide support to a small team of attorneys specializing in intellectual property litigation matters, including cases in federal and state courts, TTAB, PTAB, ITC, and AAA. Draft, proofread, finalize, and file pleadings and other court filings. Assist with all stages of discovery including litigation holds, document collection, reviewing, and summarizing documents; managing document databases, preparing privilege logs, and coordinating with vendors. Conduct legal and factual research. Analyze, summarize, and compile timelines and reports regarding findings. Create, organize, and maintain databases, privilege logs, and files containing discovery documents, physical evidence, summaries, deposition transcripts, etc. Perform daily case management tasks, such as verifying case deadlines, organizing key case materials, etc. Train litigation support staff and update training materials and internal docketing worksheets as needed. Oversee the litigation docketing and actively communicate deadlines to attorneys. Qualifications: 5+ years of litigation experience within a law firm environment; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience electronically filing court documents is required. Ability to work under minimal supervision and handle multiple assignments simultaneously. Fundamental proficiency and understanding of all aspects of the litigation lifecycle, including, but not limited to, pre-filing investigation, docketing, case correspondence, pleadings, discovery, depositions, expert discovery, claim construction, trial, and appeal. Familiarity with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, including Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and Patent Trial and Appeal Board proceedings, a plus. Advanced proficiency in litigation software including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Relativity (or other hosted review platforms), and Westlaw. Strong organizational skills and ability to streamline processes and procedures. Solid communication skills to interact with all levels of internal case team, clients of the firm, local counsel, opposing counsel, court personnel and vendors. Analytical and critical thinking skills sufficient to make decisions regarding daily work.
