Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal The candidate will draft Complaints, pleadings, motions, orders, notices, subpoenas, etc., in Virginia Circuit and General District Courts- must have experience responding to Interrogatories and Requests for Production. Independently manage attorney discovery calendar to ensure all deadlines are met. Schedule and assist attorney with depositions, mediations, and civil trials. Requesting medical records: must have experience summarizing medical records. Requesting medical bills- must have experience calculating and verifying damages. Maintaining contact with insurance companies, medical providers, and clients through both verbal and written contact. Verifying insurance limits and collecting medpay and income loss benefits as applicable. Determining the validity of ERISA claims and responding accordingly. Must have a minimum of 2 years experience handling litigation files in Virginia Circuit Court- personal injury setting preferred. Bachelor's Degree preferred- Associate's Degree, equivalent certification, and equivalent work experience are considered as well. Strong computer skills, including the ability to learn and use legal software.
