International Litigation and Arbitration Paralegal Responsibilities : The candidate will maintain and manage case files (evidence, court filings, etc.). Conduct factual and basic legal research. Prepare and submit filings to courts and dispute resolution institutions. Work closely with attorneys on case teams to develop and litigate cases. Review documents for importance and relevance to case. Review translations for accuracy. Occasional research in the field. Provide support during hearings and meetings (locally and abroad). Requirements : The candidate should have a Bachelor degree. Oral and written Spanish and English language fluency (other language fluency, particularly French, are also an asset). Strong writing and research skills. Strong computer and Internet skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Willingness to work overtime, including weekends. Knowledge of desktop publishing and other litigation database software. Experience in research on the ground in Latin America. Prior paralegal experience. Familiarity with international politics (especially Latin American politics) and international legal issues. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and resourceful college graduate who is interested in international affairs and the legal field. You should also be able to work independently and manage multiple demands on your time.
