Bankruptcy & Litigation Attorney Duties: Focus on Attorney-level work. Management of assigned client base (30+ cases). Obtain a positive resolution for clients (BK plan confirmation, cash settlement, debt relief/modification, etc.). Research and construct new angles and tactics to win against well-funded adversaries. Create and manage a litigation plan for multiple clients. Negotiate with opposing counsel. Contact clients and/or third parties. Set, prioritize, and work within deadlines. Document activity with clients and third parties in our online Case Management System. Work Environment. Will be in court weekly and must keep Court appropriate attire on hand. Interacts directly with clients who are facing significant amounts of stress which may cause them to behave in an irrational manner. Requirements: Licensed Texas Attorney in good standing. 2+ years of bankruptcy experience. Must have courtroom experience. Must be organized and able to succeed in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to problem-solve and not accept no A? for an answer. Must enjoy negotiating and deal-making. Must be a friendly and effective communicator by phone. Must be honest and above reproach. Must possess a high level of attention to detail. Must be able to successfully prioritize and handle a high volume of cases/clients. Must have intermediate computers skills, (MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, web). Must be able and willing to support multiple people (multiple bosses A?). Must have a willing attitude, ready to help any team member as needed. Must be flexible and adaptive to changing policies and procedures.
