Associate Attorney - Bankruptcy The candidate will prepare and review motions for relief from stay for Chapter 7 and Chapter 13s, and objections to Chapter 13 plans. Chapter 11 experience and adversary matters experience are a plus. Responses to motions to value, oppositions to objections to claim, review and interpret all documents (legal & otherwise) deed of trusts, notes, assignments, property title, dockets, pleadings, etc. Respond to court notifications and inquiries received from clients, debtors and debtors' attorneys Should have 3 years of bankruptcy experience representing creditors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy matters. Admitted to practice and in good standing in North Carolina and all federal bankruptcy courts. Admitted to practice in other states is a plus. Experience in drafting pleadings, making court appearances, and case law research. Must be able to proficiently handle appearances and all aspects of creditor representation with minimal or no supervision; excellent leadership skills; excellent communication and organization abilities; Strong work ethic with the ability to balance and prioritize high-volume workload.
