Workers' Compensation Paralegal The candidate will processes new cases and prepares initial synopsis of workers compensation claims. Prepare and analyze medical chronologies. Perform complex wage/hour calculations. Subpoena medical records. Coordinate conference calls with medical providers and adjusters. Draft motions for attorney review. Prepare documents for production. Calendar/docket hearings, pre-trial agreements, discovery, and other deadlines. Determine when independent medical reviews are necessary and schedules accordingly. Evaluate ongoing medical records; reviews cases for settlement or trial. Paralegal experience in fields that require preparation and analysis of medical chronologies, and ability to efficiently manage a large volume caseload under the pressure of competing deadlines required. Experience performing complex wage/hour calculations and will have extensive experience with various types of databases, case management systems, and software preferred. Superior analytical and investigative skills required. Ability: to work with a team as well as independently; to manage and meet deadlines required. Knowledge: of Microsoft Office software; of TimeMatters or similar software required.
