Job details Salary $60,000 - $65,000 a year Job Type Full-time Number of hires for this role 1 Qualifications Bachelor's (Preferred) Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred) Benefits Pulled from the full job description 401(k) Paid time off 401(k) matching Flexible schedule Full Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION WORKERS COMPENSATION PARALEGAL Hours of Work: 8:00 - 5:00, with 1 hour for lunch Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of Word Perfect Knowledge of Word/Microsoft Office Suite Providing paralegal support for two or more attorneys Ability to complete tasks assigned in a timely fashion Managing/meeting deadlines Flexible/detail oriented Expectations: Full Time Position - 40 hours per week Regular attendance 5 days per week - consistently on time (unless pre-approved or modified schedule) Accuracy of work product Ability to complete tasks assigned in a timely fashion Ability to meet deadlines and produce rush projects as assigned Aspire to meet billable goal requirements as established by firm guidelines Educational Requirements: At least 5 years prior experience working as a paralegal The workers compensation paralegal position may involve some or all of the following duties: Receipt and preparation of new cases Initial file organization including docketing of initial case & client deadlines in PC Law and Outlook Prepare medical record requests and receipt of same Prepare discovery requests and receipt of responses from opposing counsel Prepare and update Case List summaries Scanning and filing of discovery, pleadings and other file materials (including medical records) All transcription received from attorney to include correspondences, discovery responses, Motions, Briefs, etc. Scheduling of depositions and mediations Prepare deposition notices Perform online research including criminal records/background checks Draft discovery requests Prepare documents for production pursuant to discovery requests Calendar hearings, depositions, mediations, Pre-Trial agreements, discovery and other deadlines - many received from ICMS system Daily review of calendar regarding deadlines with attorney Weekly case list review meetings with attorney Prepare Stipulations, Release and Affidavits Prepare witness/exhibit lists, subpoenas and *** per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Flexible schedule Paid time off Schedule: 8 hour shift Education: Bachelor's (Preferred) Experience: Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: One location Just posted If you require alternative methods of application or screening, you must approach the employer directly to request this as Indeed is not responsible for the employer's application process.
