Corporate Paralegal Assistant The candidate supports a small corporate firm that services legal departments of public companies in monitoring all activities of the companies to ensure compliance with its obligations. Responsibilities: Handle administrative responsibilities with respect to preparation, execution and organization of legal documents. Organize legal documents and maintain charts, files, and status trackers, as needed. Coordinate and keep track of signature pages and fully-executed agreements. Maintain corporate minute books. Maintain Board and Committee meeting attendance lists. Research regulations, laws, and legal articles to assist with the preparation of reports, case files, and legal advice. File corporate annual reports for various entities in various states. Manage, organize, and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems. Available to quickly assist in urgent matters such as time-sensitive issues that come up. Handle departmental administrative duties as assigned, including: Manage calendars and scheduling meetings/calls. Upload legal documents into document management systems. Prepare electronic FedEx shipments. Maintain office supply inventory and orders. Deposit checks and maintain check ledgers on Excel. Qualifications: 1-2 years as a corporate Paralegal/Legal Assistant, preferably in a law firm or in-house legal department, or 2-3 years of experience as an administrative assistant (preferably in a law firm or in a corporate legal department), legal assistant, or legal secretary. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
