This mid-size firm has a nationally recognized law practice specializing in the areas of Estate Planning, Charitable and Non-Profit Organization Planning, Probate and Trust Administration, Real Estate, Business Transactions and Tax Planning, and Commercial and Real Estate Litigation. It enjoys a national reputation for its expertise in estate and gift planning. The firm also engages in a broad real estate practice with clients from high-volume retailers to regional mall developers. Client contact is frequent and early, and salary is what you would expect at similar firms. The minimum billable hour requirements are average, but the environment of the firm is very conducive to either long hours or normal workdays.
Real Estate Paralegal The candidate will assist real estate attorneys with review of ALTA surveys, title reports and underlying exception documents, third party reports, escrow instructions, legal descriptions, vesting deeds, tax, tract and parcel maps, and title policies and endorsement requirements; resolve issues, if any. Responsibilities also include due diligence production and/or review, preparing summaries of critical dates and lease abstracts, maintaining diligence checklists and coordinating closings on loan financing, acquisition/disposition and leasing transactions. Prepare and/or review transactional documents and oversee completion of transaction closing binders for clients. Leasing experience and some corporate background a plus.
