Paralegal The candidate exercises confidentiality and good judgment in all matters. Timely and dependable team player. Remains flexible and adaptable to new tasks and processes. Exudes and upholds's Core Values. Prepares and reviews legal documents including but not limited to: agreements, documents, contracts, and letters. Assists attorneys in preparation for estate planning meetings and other legal matters. Tracks and manage assigned deliverables using designated software and tracking systems. Proactively communicates when deadlines are at risk of being missed. Coordinates and schedules meetings with clients to collect information needed for their estate plan cases. Prints and assemble portfolio binders, packets, Trust ID cards, and letters for clients. Assists with signing meetings including being able to explain what the clients are signing and follow-up steps. Keeps all databases up to date with client information. Keeps clients up to date on the status of their cases. Assists with and manages post-mortem estate planning activities including probate and trust administration. Meets established production metrics. Adheres to all other policies and procedures. Check obituaries, send sympathy cards, and coordinate meetings. Send letters to fiduciaries offering free meetings. Provide administrative support for attorneys. Assist with sending information to prospects and clients through email and mail. Track and report on products including the number of cases open, cases closed, days aging for open cases, and turnaround time on closed cases. Conduct legal research and drafting as requested. should have 2 years of progressive legal experience performing paralegal or legal assistant work including drafting and reviewing legal documents. Experience interacting with clients via phone, email, and in-person preferred. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word. Working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications is required. An associate degree in paralegal studies or equivalent experience is required. Experience using Actionstep or similar practice management software desired. has Effective written and verbal communication. Quick learning with the ability to research, learn, and self-teach. Ability to build rapport with individuals of all backgrounds. Able to effectively track and manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Professional appearance and demeanor.
