Trusts and Estates Legal Secretary/Legal Assistant The candidate will be supporting lawyers and paralegals in connection with all aspects of estate planning, probate and trust administration including preparing, editing, formatting and proof reading legal documents. Performing pdf scanning of documents and e-filing in state, federal and appellate courts. Organizing and profiling legal documents into document management and records management systems. Performing functions associated with firm administrative tasks, including processing new client/matter requests, preparing expense reports, making travel and meeting arrangements, and assisting with client billing. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including grammar, spelling and punctuation required. Ability to utilize transcription software required. Ability to accurately type 70+ words per minute required. Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) required. Ability to work independently as a member of a team, take initiative, balance competing priorities and see projects through completion required. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks, and respond to changing priorities required. Must possess discretion, confidentiality and a professional, positive attitude with a sense of teamwork. The candidate should have trust and estate experience.
