Legal Secretary Duties: Provide appellate legal secretarial support and general secretarial, administrative, and service to assigned lawyers. Dictation, typing, editing, proofreading, copying, and processing client matter reports with time and expense reports. Establish close working relationships with assigned lawyers in practices to understand preferences, to anticipate needs, and to proactively develop efficiency gains. Qualifications: Ability to establish effective working relationships with lawyers, clients, and others outside the Firm. Must have strong skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Dictation. Ability to format briefs to include table of contents and table of authorities. Must have strong project management skills, ability to work independently, take initiative, multi task, and set priorities. Must possess solid proofreading skills and strong attention to detail. Must have effective communication with lawyers regarding work assignments. Must have strong service orientation and ability to work in a teaming environment.
