Paralegal Candidate will be responsible for handling all Paralegal and Legal Secretarial functions for the Regulatory Practice Group as well giving 20% coverage and attention to the Administrative Group. Assistance as needed with other practice groups is also expected. Will be responsible for tasks associated with administrative proceedings before the State of Massachusetts administrative agencies. Subject to the supervision of the attorneys responsible for the matter and the Paralegal Manger, may assist in such tasks as: assembling and coordinating large energy project administrative filings, correspondence and discovery, and production of witness preparation and hearing materials. Administrative functions include covering reception as needed and assistance with client billing. Plays a significant role in the retrieval, review, preparation and production of documents on their own for the firm. Must also coordinate with the firm s other paralegals and administrative staff regarding delegation and workflow. Assist with document retrieval, review, organization, and production. Includes: editing in Word, Excel and PDF; redacting; adding/editing labels; proper naming etiquette; uploading and downloading in addition to paper production. Assist with large, complex filings before governmental agencies. Oversee collating and general preparation of filing documents. Maintain litigation records as needed, create/use best practices for electronic file storage. Organize and prepare exhibit lists and/or discovery logs. Prepare and track correspondence. Send out / process court and other communications. Coordinate work with outside document vendors and/or the firm s paralegal team. Adhere to strict deadlines. Maintain confidentiality of client information. Set up hearing room and communicate to others about attorney needs at hearing. Record and communicate case deadlines, hearing schedules and filing / retrieving of documents. Communicate with Purchasing Manager and Billing Manager regarding filing supplies. Reception coverage 1 hour per day or less as needed. Administrative Group tasks such as client billing assistance. Requirements: Bachelor degree and 2+ years of similar professional experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention for detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work efficiently in a face-paced environment with or without direct supervision and coordinate multiple projects. Strong computer skills, including a high level of proficiency specifically with Microsoft Office and Adobe and the ability to locate specific items on the internet. Flexibility for additional hours as needed.
