Associate Attorney The candidate will handle discovery, motions, hearings, trials. Will gain trial experience with a knowledgeable and dedicated team. Will handle status conferences, temporary hearings, uncontested final hearings and trials in family law cases. Will handle pre-litigation, written discovery, meditations and depositions in litigation matters. Qualifications: Must already be a member of the State Bar of Georgia and Northern District of Georgia. 3+ years of family law or litigation experience. Will not accept a candidate that does not have litigation experience and not afraid of going to trial tomorrow. Must be proficient in performing legal research and writing. Must be proficient in drafting pleadings, briefs, affidavits, discovery, proposed orders, as well as correspondence, memoranda, and opinion letters. Must be well-versed in the rules of evidence, introducing evidence, and civil procedure. Experience with taking and defending depositions a plus. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills; Proficiency with Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office products; Proficiency with West Law Next; Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases. Ability to grow with the firm and to make a contribution to the continued success of the firm.
