Legal Secretary (Litigation) The candidate supports attorneys in delivering the highest level of service to internal and external clients. As a contributing team member, pro-active in balancing multiple work demands, taking personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of their own and the teams work product, and maintaining client and Firm confidentiality. Duties: Creates, edits, formats and proofreads documents, spreadsheets and presentations. Prepares legal documents for court filing and electronic filing. Promptly responds to attorney requests via written, verbal or electronic communication. Effectively and efficiently manages work and information requests, including document management, scheduling and coordination of Firm resources. Helps attorneys and team members apply new technology to improve efficiency and quality of work product. Hands off work with detailed instructions to team members so that the work product is not compromised. Smoothly handles multiple demands and shifting priorities across all Firm offices. Maintains Extranet data and FTP sites for attorneys and clients. Other duties as assigned. The candidate should preferably have Associate or Bachelor's degree. Must have 5+ years of legal secretarial and customer service experience. Speaks and writes English clearly and succinctly is a must. Should preferably have Notary Public. Must be expert Microsoft Word; Microsoft Outlook, Intermediate Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Must work with Technology Department to troubleshoot issues.
