Estate Planning and Probate Associate Attorney The candidate must have at least 3 years of estate planning and probate experience. Will be responsible for managing your own caseload. Responsible for own caseload of estate planning and probate files with little to no supervision. Familiar with probate rules and statutes, including court local rules for different counties within Florida. Familiar with and handle probate statewide in Florida. Court appearance will be required. Able to handle probate ex parte, motion hearing calendar, and evidentiary hearings. Capable of consulting with clients on estate plans without supervision regarding business succession planning, asset protection, and wealth preservation. Review existing estate plans or entity structure, to provide advice for updating plans. Able to draft customized estate plans without assistance. Knowledge of federal and state estate planning laws. Familiar with Lawgic or similar estate planning drafting software. Tracking of billable hours. Management of case status and report to supervising attorney on a weekly basis. Regularly update clients on the status of the case. Conveys confidence in person and on the phone. Shows empathy to clients and puts them at ease during their difficult time. Treats a call at 4:30 on Friday with the same care and compassion as one on Monday morning. Demonstrates exceptional communication skills. Should be proficient in Microsoft Office Case management systems. Database entry. Inbound sales experience is a plus. Probate litigation and trial experience are a plus. Florida Bar License is required. LL.M. Degree in Tax or Estate Planning is preferred.
