Litigation Paralegal The candidate will prepare motions, pleadings, subpoenas, and discovery-related materials. Manage, upload, and retrieve information from administrative and trial courts. Conduct cite checking and review motions and pleadings for accuracy. Manage and organize large volumes of documents including hard copy and electronic files. Utilize various software systems for document tracking and review. Perform legal research and fact gathering, applying knowledge of Westlaw and other resources. Consolidate analysis into easy-to-understand documents and presentations. Prepare and process court and administrative filings. Stay current with court dockets and calendared litigation, and other administrative agency hearing dates. Provide recommendations to attorneys and staff on complex procedural issues. Detail-oriented, proactive, and organized with strong knowledge of litigation procedures required. Demonstrated experience maintaining a high quality work product within required time constraints required. Accuracy, speed, and professionalism a must. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated understanding of correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation required. Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience working with a document management system required. Strong e-discovery experience with a variety of tools including calendaring tools required. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment required. Prior experience as a paralegal in education and/or construction law setting strongly preferred. Paralegal Certificate or equivalent is required.
