Litigation Paralegal Duties: Support local litigation department and assist clients nationally. Assignments are included preparing for depositions and trials; drafting, formatting, proofreading and filing a variety of legal correspondence, briefs, motions, and pleadings; document organization and filing maintenance. Qualifications: Bachelor s Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate or equivalent work experience. 3+ years of Paralegal experience required. General knowledge of legal proceedings. General of rules and procedures in Federal and State Courts ( predominantly in NY and NJ). Proficient knowledge in litigation database platforms such as Concordance and Summation. Superior technological and computer capabilities (specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel). Illustrates excellent communication, proofreading, grammar, and organizational skills. Ability to complete assigned tasks with attention to detail; work with teams and under pressure; and meet deadlines. Ability to bluebook and cite check are highly encouraged, as well as familiarity working with Lexis, Westlaw and Pacer.
