Associate Attorney The candidate will work closely with clients and senior attorneys in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications. Research new technology areas. Participate in invention disclosure meetings with clients and inventors. Draft patent applications. Review and analyze US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) actions and prior art to draft claim amendments and arguments. Assist with patent infringement, non-infringement, invalidity, freedom-to-operate, and other types of opinion work. A J.D., LLM or foreign equivalent degree. Must have knowledge of/with the following Patent prosecution; Drafting patent applications for submission to the USPTO; Researching and evaluating new technologies surrounding inventions in electrical engineering, computer engineering or computer science; and Providing technical expertise and opinions and evaluating patentability for patent applications related to electrical engineering or computer science. Must be admitted to a State Bar. Must be registered with the USPTO.
