Title : Real Estate Paralegal

Real Estate Paralegal The candidate responsible for preparing real estate purchase or files. Reviewing amendments, leases, subleases or purchase assignments. It is important for paralegals in this specialty area to be able to accurately work on items such as title insurance and tax bills. In addition to working with lawyers, real estate paralegals may also coordinate with landlords, housing managers or other real estate personnel. Prepare CD and ALTA Settlement statements and closing documents. Review title examinations and prepare title documents, including commitments, policies, and affidavits. Complete closing checklists which include outlining critical dates and the responsibilities of all parties. Coordinate the closing with all parties in the transaction, including the buyer(s), seller(s), title insurance company, opposing counsel and lender. Perform other related duties as assigned by management. Should have 2+ years experience in residential real estate closings and settlement, and title insurance. Should have 2+ years of related experience and or combination of experience and education. College Degree or Paralegal certificate is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills is plus.
