Higher Education Attorney The candidate should ideally have experience in areas of practice that include labor and employment matters, employee benefits, disability law, higher education compliance, international programs and relationships, general business transactions, intellectual property and licensing, corporate governance, and civil rights investigations. Experience working as in-house counsel or as an outside attorney providing legal counsel to higher education clients is preferred. Must be licensed to practice law and have strong interpersonal and presentation skills, an enthusiasm for university and college environments, and the ability to build and maintain relationships while providing sound legal and practical judgment.
