Legal Secretary- Construction Practice Responsibilities: Prepare routine correspondence, memoranda and legal documents via multiple sources. Answer phone calls and assist clients in communicating with the attorneys. Maintain attorneys calendars. Docket deadlines. Establish and maintain appropriate files and records. Close files at completion of cases. Manage and organize electronic files and maintain electronic case files. Make arrangements for meetings, conferences and travel. Enter time into the billing system. Periodically request pre-bills and statements for billing purposes and prepare statements for signatures to send.. Maintain relationships and contact with clients. Prepare motions and pleadings in both state and federal cases. Requirements: High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's Degree, preferred. 2+ years' experience as a Legal Secretary, preferred. Experience supporting attorneys who practice Corporate Law, preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Accuracy, attention to detail and good organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong time-management skills and ability to multi-task. Strong client service focus and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision.
