Trademark Paralegal The candidate will conduct preliminary trademark clearance searches; Review and analyze search reports and prepare memorandum of findings and analysis in connection with trademark clearance searches. Prepare trademark status summary reports for attorneys and/or clients. Analyze incoming correspondence and official communications and prepare draft reporting correspondence to clients concerning office actions, formality requirements, etc. The candidate should have College degree, plus at least 5 years of recent legal experience required. Any satisfactory combination of experience and education will be considered. Knowledge/understanding of how to prepare trademark documents for filing, including but not limited to Applications, Declarations, Assignments, Powers of Attorney, Responses to Office Actions, Statements of Use, Amendments, Post-registration filings, Requests for Certified Copies, Appeal Briefs, Filings with TTAB, etc. Knowledge/understanding of how to prepare and copyright documents for filing, including but not limited to Applications, Recordations, etc. Ability to work with digital images and text files using Adobe editing software. Knowledge/understanding of USPTO s trademark e-filing system. Ability to communicate with clients, USPTO, Copyright Office,and foreign associate counsel. Strong computer research skills, a high level of organization and accuracy, attention to detail, and strong knowledge of US Trademark and Copyright laws and rules are keys to success in this role.
