Paralegal - Insurance Coverage Litigation The candidate will assist in document review and organization. Prepare privilege logs. Perform fact research in Westlaw and Lexis/Nexis. Assist with depositions. Digest deposition transcripts. Cite checking, blue booking, shepardizing, fact-checking, exhibit preparation and proof-reading of briefs, court filings, and other documents. Prepare binders for trial, mediation, and motions. Records summarization. Prepare subpoenas. Case maintenance: organization of files such as correspondence, pleadings, discovery, and closing/archiving. Review court dockets in PACER and state court sites. Document and presentation preparation, utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, Nuance PDF, and other software. Assist with scanning projects. Assist with general office administration. Should have a Bachelor's degree or a paralegal certificate. Minimum 1-3 years of paralegal experience; insurance litigation background is preferred. Strong written and communication skills are required. Well-developed organization and time management skills are a must. Also, be a creative problem solver who takes initiative to accomplish tasks with a minimal level of supervision. The ability to learn quickly and perform in a fast-paced environment is essential. Must be willing and able to learn new software.
