Property Tax Paralegal The candidate will prepare and file appeals before the Cook County Assessor, Cook County Board of Review, Illinois Circuit Court and Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board. Will manage the property tax database and appeal filing deadlines. Calculate assessments, market values, unit values and taxes. Read, comprehend and interpret County records, forms and data. Prepare client reporting materials, including design of multi-year tax and assessment summaries. Monitor multiple electronic and print sources for new regulations and laws that impact practice and clients. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree. Paralegal certificate from ABA approved paralegal program preferred. Should preferably also have 1-3 years of law firm experience. Must have solid computer skills with knowledge of MS Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Ability to analyze property tax record cards, legal descriptions and tax bills is required.
