Staff Attorney Duties: Preparing legal documents and pleadings, such as initial drafts of complaints, under the supervision of a partner. Research state and federal law relating to corporate law subjects, such as securities regulation, corporate governance, and mergers & acquisitions. Assist with discovery efforts, including document review. Efforts to promote the Firm's monitoring service, Stock Watch. Perform other duties as required by supervising partner. Qualifications: JD Degree from an ABA accredited law school. Admitted to the California Bar (Active and in Good Standing). 1-3 years of litigation experience preferred. Knowledge of shareholder rights litigation a plus. Ability to write initial drafts of documents for a range of litigation categories. Familiar with securities, corporate derivative, and class action litigation . Able to prioritize complex assignments under tight deadlines. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills. Self-motivated/take initiative, but also works effectively in teams . Ability to manage a high-volume workload with minimal supervision. Strong analytical and oral and written communication skills. Commitment to excellence and high standards. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all levels of management. Efficient with on-line legal research tools. Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
