Paralegal - Workers Compensation Responsibilities: Manage claims from inception through resolution. Create correspondence and documents. Prepare cases for hearings by reviewing files, obtaining documents, communicating with clients, attorneys and insurance carriers. Have extensive contact with all relevant parties. Gather and analyze information relevant to the case; conduct an extensive review of each case. Maintain contact with clients on a consistent basis. Obtain documentation from the injured worker such as medical records, bills, & wage info Request hearings to address outstanding issues. Read, understand and summarize medical records and reports. Organize and maintain case files. Qualifications: Minimum high school education (or equivalent) with corresponding experience. Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred. 2+ years of experience in a law firm setting preferred. 1+ year Needles experience required. Knowledge of concepts, terminology and procedures of workers compensation functions, jurisdictions and administrative bodies. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Ability to operate Microsoft Office software programs. Ability to multi-task required while maintaining attention to detail. Proven record of meeting deadlines.
