Legal Secretary- Floater Pool The candidate will provide continual and consistent interim administrative support to the Attorneys and the firm. Responsibilities: Maintain records of client files, including opening and closing of files. Edit, format, print and revise all letters, memos, reports, forms, labels and other printed material. Draft pleadings and perform e-filing with various State and Federal Courts. Open and close client files and maintain files keeping them organized and current, both in electronic and hard copy format. Maintain daily appointment calendar, book meetings, make travel arrangements, as required. Facilitate meeting deadlines by keeping multiple agendas and provide timely reminders to attorney. Enter attorneys time for timesheets and billing purposes. Answer phone calls, take notes, messages and redirect calls when appropriate. Proofreads all documents produced, checking for appropriate formatting, spelling and grammatical errors, as well as ensuring that all attachments, exhibits and enclosures are intact. Performs routine filing and retrieves closed files when requested. Handles expense reimbursements. High School Diploma or Equivalent is required. Bachelor's or Associates Degree is preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and Power Point is required. Should have strong communications skills, both written and oral, with careful attention to grammar, spelling and punctuation.
