Legal Assistant/Paralegal - Litigation, Bankruptcy, Business & Real Estate The candidate will draft/edit/finalize correspondence, pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents. Maintain legal files and records; docket cases; schedule appointments; and tackle other administrative tasks as needed. Take ownership with high initiative and follow through on projects/assignments to completion. Should have 2+ years of experience as a litigation legal assistant. Experience specifically in bankruptcy, debtor-creditor litigation, business and/or real estate is preferred. Should be a self-starter who will use sound judgment to anticipate. Should be highly organized and able to process and organize detailed information. Should have a strong understanding of state and federal court rules, procedures, docketing and electronic filing. Should have excellent professional written and verbal communication skills, with acute attention to detail with strong grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills. The value being a member of a team, providing overlapping support to other attorneys and staff as needed. Be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and workflow. Be technologically savvy, up to date and highly proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Adobe Pro DC programs. Prior experience with Worldox/NetDocs and Best Case is Preffered.
