Litigation Paralegal The candidate should have 5+ years experience in the employment law. Should have strong skills in drafting, researching, court filing, subpoenas and a familiarity with both state law and federal practice in employment law specifically, but also police misconduct cases, municipal liability, and personal injury. Client service skills, dependability, great attention to detail, including statutes and deadlines, and the ability to work independently is critical. Will handle drafting complaints, correspondence, discovery requests, responses, and motions. In addition, our paralegals have frequent client interaction and are the face of our firm to potential clients. Many of the potential clients we speak with have undergone traumatic experiences in their lives. Drafting and filing complaints interrogatories, discovery demands, requests, and responses, bill of particulars, litigation correspondence, and motions. Play a crucial role in interviewing and on-boarding potential new clients, tracking and developing client files, responding to client concerns, and handling the firm s case calendar. Must have knowledge of e-filing in federal and state jurisdictions. Must also have proficiency in using Westlaw. Bachelor s Degree. Should have 5-10 years of experience as a paralegal with at least 5 handling employment law matters.
