Family Law Paralegal / Legal Assistant The candidate will assist with a busy family law docket consisting of divorces, modifications, enforcement, child custody, grandparents rights, cps cases and other family matters. Must be able to adapt to daily change, be responsive, self-motivated and have attention to detail. Prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining organization in a fast-paced environment is an absolute necessity.Must have experience drafting all pleadings; drafting discovery requests, objections and responses; reviewing and organizing documents for discovery and trial purposes; conducting research to investigate facts and support a legal proceeding or formulate a defense; preparing and directing law office activity in preparation of hearing and trials; preparing financial documents such as clients financial information statement and inventory and appraisement; preparing affidavits and other closing documents; gathering and analyzing research data such as background checks and asset searches; interviewing witnesses to testify at hearings; and serving as liaison between attorney and client. This position entails a lot of client contact. Should be able to organize, prioritize and work well under pressure. 2 years experience required, Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills; Must be able to speak, write and read Spanish.
