Associate Attorney - Family Law The candidate will perform a range of duties including understanding clients situations and end game; developing powerfully compelling strategies, filing legal documents, attending court proceedings and effectively guiding clients through the court system. Should have a license to practice law in the state of Texas and the ability to successfully manage multiple complex cases. Develop, implement, supervise and direct case strategies. Organize and record all official documents required to file cases. Coordinate with client to prepare an extensive brief on each case that goes to trial. Manage and uphold a steady schedule of hearings, court appearances, and conferences. Respond to client contact and requests within a short period of time. Respond to urgent needs of clients with knowledge and brevity of the case(s) and full professionalism. Manage complex cases with confidence and effectiveness. Attend trials and court proceedings. Keep cases on track with organized files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; researching case law; inputting information into file database and case management software; confirming case status with support staff and communicating regularly with client. Execute case strategy with senior attorneys, litigation management and/or support staff. Manage high level/high asset cases by maintaining contact with people involved in the case; preparing for depositions; reviewing standard court documents; drafting coherent and effective communications with clients; generating comprehensive status reports in congruence with firm standards. Keep clients informed by maintaining contact; communicating case progress. Responsible for working with staff in evergreen retainers and ensuring clients address accounts receivable issues. Support case planning by preparing case summaries, preparing pleadings; monitoring discovery responses; organizing materials for team case review. Is involved with trial proceedings working with support staff in organizing evidence, preparing exhibits, scheduling witnesses, ensuring that witnesses are ready/prepared when needed. Attends business/personal development and networking functions. Meet firm client service level standards. Licensed to practice law from the Texas State Bar Association.
