Labor & Employment Legal Secretary The candidate will draft, input, revise and finalize routine correspondence, memoranda and other legal documents. Proofread documents and check for appropriate formatting, spelling, and grammar. File legal documents in federal and state courts, including e-filing. Verify all attachments, exhibits and enclosures are included with transmittal letters/memos. Complete client/matter forms, request conflicts of interest checks, open new files and maintain all client and general files. Manage busy and complex attorney and team calendars. Coordinate and manage team meeting schedules and calls. Maintain client contact information. Maintain electronic and hard copy client and general files. Conduct periodic review for possible storage of old files and prepares files to be closed. Review incoming mail, calendar and distribute to teams as needed and upload to the DMS. Prepare documents and packages for mail, messenger, and overnight delivery. Enter attorney time and send time entry reminders. Coordinate and follow through on requests and projects with other support departments (e.g. word processing, receptionists, file/document clerks, office services, finance). Screen telephone calls, listen to voicemail and recorded messages. Prepare expense reports and processes vendor invoices in Chrome River. Schedule appointments and makes arrangements for meetings, conferences and travel. Complete other duties and projects as assigned. Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) is required. Should have 5+ years of law firm of professional services secretarial experience. Typing speed of 70+ WPM is required.
