Bilingual (English/Spanish) Immigration Legal Assistant/Paralegal The candidate will provide overall support to the Immigration Attorney. Should have 1-year previous experience, have good attention to detail, possess strong organizational skills and be able to work in a team-oriented environment. Must be fluent in English And Spanish. Assist in preparation of application packages, motions, and other documents for matters pending before the Immigration Court, such as asylum, cancellation of removal, and otherwise. Assist in preparation of applications before USCIS such as adjustment packets, naturalization applications, U-Visas, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, VAWA, etc. Assist in preparation of consular processing matters. Draft and prepare memos, petitions, letters, and other legal documents in support of immigration matters. Organize and analyze information and files. Keep clients informed by providing status of their immigration matters. Draft letters and emails to clients in English and Spanish. Handle calendaring deadlines. Preparation of translations. Bachelor's degree is desired. Previous experience as a paralegal in immigration law firm is preferred.
