OFAC Attorney The candidate must have 3+ years of experience with the OFAC and economic sanctions tasks listed below. Sanctions experience should include drafting and submitting specific license applications and unblocking applications, representing clients in enforcement matters, providing compliance counseling to clients and developing compliance programs, and drafting and submitting voluntary self-disclosures (VSDs) on behalf of clients. Should preferably be passionate about economic sanctions and show a demonstrated interest in the national security and foreign policy implications of US economic sanctions. Should also have experience with or possess an understanding of export controls administered by BIS, FinCEN and BSA/AML regulations, and white collar and federal criminal defense issues. Fluency in Farsi is a plus. Must have Bar admission and in good standing.
