Paralegal - Business and Commercial Litigation The candidate will work with and coordinate expert witnesses to facilitate their opinions and testimony. Prepare pleadings, certain motion documents, petitions (to include bankruptcy), settlement agreements, and other correspondence. Draft declarations, written discovery, discovery outlines. Prepare/manage subpoenas and deposition notices and scheduling. Manage case files, including importing electronic files into Eclipse and other document management software, prepare document productions. Perform administrative support functions, such scanning documents, e-mailing documents to clients/trustees. Organize and summarize voluminous documents, including preparing chronologies and fact tables. The candidate should preferably have a Bachelor's degree or a Paralegal Certificate. 3 years of business and commercial litigation experience is needed. Experience with iManage, Compulaw, Forms Workflow, Westlaw, Excel and/or other comparable programs is crucial. Must have knowledge of civil procedure in both state and federal court, including rules of court and local rules and procedures for filing and lodging documents as well as filing deadlines. Strong administrative skills and attention to detail are highly regarded.
