Legal Secretary/Assistant Baton Rouge Responsibilities: Draft documents (letters, motions, and pleadings). Proofreads, edits and revises documents as necessary. Files electronically legal documents. Maintains attorneys calendars. Submits expense reports. Composes routine correspondence. Enters attorneys time into an electronic timekeeping system. Maintains an electronic and paper filing system. Transcribes dictation. Requirements: Prior law firm experience in a defense firm required. Associated or Bachelor's degree highly desirable. Paralegal Certificate desired. High proficiency in MS Office Suite and document management systems. Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Clear and effective communication skills both orally and in writing. Must be able to multi-task and successfully manage a variety of demands daily. Must enjoy working in a team environment. Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment.
