Construction & Design Litigation Attorney The candidate must have experience in representing developers, general contractors, design professionals, and subcontractors. Trial and/or arbitration experience is always a plus. Requirements: should possess the following qualifications, skills, and experience: Currently licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado; A strong work ethic and proven case management skills; Excellent communication and analytical skills; Exceptional research and writing skills; Interviewing and meeting with client representatives; Direct experience/interaction with insurance claims representatives, including reporting, case assessment, evaluation, and strategy; Responsibility for handling own files/matters preferred; Taking and defending fact and expert depositions; Expert engagement and preparation, expert disclosures and reporting; Experience with all facets of pre-trial discovery and preparation; Experience with all facets of pre-trial motions; Experience with large exposure cases, multi-party litigation, complex construction, and design matters; Experience with large document production and database matters; First chair mediation experience; Management and delegation of work to paralegals; First chair trial/arbitration experience preferred. Construction contract drafting and negotiation; Schedule and payment claim experience; Marketing and business development interest; Experience in drafting publications, articles, or legal presentations preferred.
