Legal Secretary The candidate will type, edit, file and compose correspondence, including letters and legal memoranda, discovery responses, answers to complaints, demands and other related legal documents. Transcribe dictation and/or edits handwritten documents. Prepare and proofread appeals, motions and other court filings, including all required tables. E-file documents with state and federal court systems. Prepare conflict checks and follow procedure for the opening of files. Assist attorneys with case budgets. Input attorney time. Prepare check requests and expense reports. Open, read, and direct all incoming mail. Should have 5+ years of experience as a legal secretary. High school diploma required. College degree preferred.
