Family Law Associate Attorney The candidate will take ownership of family law cases from start to finish (legal documents, pleadings, briefs, preparation, discovery, etc.). Will be involved in trial when necessary. Provide counsel regarding family law matters (child custody, child support, divorce, etc.). Stay up to date with family court rules and procedures in Bastrop County and surrounding areas. Conduct research related to family law. Represent clients in legal proceedings, draw up legal documents, and advise clients on legal issues. Advise clients on business and legal transactions. Negotiate settlements for legal disputes. Comply with all legal standards and regulations. Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law. Must have 3+ years of experience in working with family law cases start to finish (preparation, discovery, and trial if necessary) and a license with the State Bar of Texas. Prior experience in law and familiarity with various legal documents is required. Should be able to appear in court or meet clients in Travis County, Bastrop County, and contiguous Counties.
