Legal Secretary The candidate will act as executive assistant. Coordinate the day-to-day business of the firm. Must be able to work remotely, particularly with the current COVID-19 crisis, as it is intended that this position will commence immediately with you working from home. The ideal candidate should have prior relevant experience, including 1 year as a legal secretary or legal administrative assistant or paralegal at an executive level, be a college educated, smart, and an enthusiastic initiative-taker that is detail oriented and organized. Must accurately type at least 70 words per minute and be capable in electronic and hard copy file storage with an expert knowledge and 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat DC, Excel and general computer/database capabilities. Must be able to work under time pressure in certain situations and be familiar with drafting and revising legal documents, financial documents on Excel or similar software and general correspondence. Day-to-Day Essential Duties: Typing and editing documents, including typing via dictation; Collating and preparing legal documents for Court; Calendar management - keeping track of important deadlines and tasks; Managing and maintaining databases and filing systems; Taking notes and memos; Acting as a first point of contact, fielding phone calls and email correspondence; Liaising with clients and suppliers.
