Personal Injury Paralegal The candidate will assist lawyer in preparing settlement letters and packages, drafting complaints and social security hearing briefs, and other requests for hearing. Conduct research to support legal proceedings and investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes. Obtain medical records and bills; keeping up with client's treatment; and working up settlement packages. Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents then record and store client information. Deal directly with clients in obtaining medical records, following up on treatment, etc. Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. The candidate should have proper experience in one or more of the following: plaintiff personal injury, plaintiff workers compensation (South Carolina), or Social Security Disability. Previous experience as a paralegal or other legal field (familiarity with legal research) is needed. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prioritize/multitask (deadline and detail-oriented)
