Paralegal - Trial and Litigation The candidate will work in real estate, contract, business, employment, family, probate, appellate, consumer, collections, and some personal injury work. Should have a desire to work in multiple areas of law, focusing on the discovery, litigation, and trial aspects. Drafting and preparing legal motions. Discovery drafting, compiling and calendaring. Filing and maintenance of paper and electronic files. Preparing trial exhibits and exhibits to filings. Extensive e-filing with all levels of courts. Taking phone calls from clients and other parties. Preparing case, hearing, and trial folders. Drafting Correspondence. Contacting Clients and Opposing Parties. Using Client Management Software. Clio experience preferred. Keeping track of your own billables. Working without constant supervision. Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years as a Paralegal in a trial and litigation law firm; OR 7+ years as a Paralegal in a trial and litigation law firm as an equivalency. Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat DC ability. Detail orientated and eye for precision. Ability to lift boxes full of paperwork.Customer Service skills for managing clients. Ability to work with a high caseload including but not limited to document management, assisting with coordination of calendars, and case-related deadlines. Must possess a team-oriented mindset.
