Legal Secretary Responsibilities: Drafts, formats, proofreads, and revises documents Organizes clerical functions and work flow, including court filings and transactions. Client contact including handling incoming calls; Correspondence and appointments for attorneys; all other administrative support for timekeepers including time entry, travel arrangements, billing, engagement letters, etc. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree, required. 2-5 years of relevant experience in a corporate setting. Strong knowledge of legal terminology, basic legal procedures and law office protocol; Excellent word processing skills (intermediate to advanced level in Word, Microsoft Outlook); Knowledge of calendaring, including tracking of litigation deadlines; Generating Tables of Authorities and Tables of Contents using Word; and ability to format documents with Word-generated styles; Excellent writing, grammar, proofreading skills and attention to detail; Ability to organize and prioritize and work independently and flexibly; Good interpersonal skills as a team player working closely with attorneys and staff; Good judgment and respect for confidentiality.
