Legal Secretary The candidate will be responsible to create, edit, format and proofread documents. Prepares legal documents for eFiling and filing via PACER. Communicates to and on behalf of his or her attorney using Firm technology. Prepares new client matter request packet and coordinates approval; coordinates conflict search processes; prepares retainer letters. Reviews proformas and edits bills according to client billing arrangement. Enters, tracks and coordinates new client/matter information. Edits and coordinates client pitches with Marketing Department. Maintains InterAction and/or Extranet data. Maintains electronic and paper files in accordance with Firm guidelines. Maintains and monitors attorney calendars. Coordinates and/or books travel arrangements. Prepares, tracks and maintains attorney expenses in Chrome River. Organizes and coordinates conference calls and client meetings. Other duties as assigned. Associates degree is preferred. 5+ years of legal secretarial experience in litigation is necessary. Should be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Chrome River; InterAction; Carpe Diem.
