Social Security Disability Paralegal - Bilingual The candidate will be responsible for: Heavy volume client communication; conducting periodic review and evaluation of case status; contact with doctor's offices to obtain medical records and appropriate documentation of client disability; contact with the Social Security Administration to assist in adjudication and processing of claims, including but not limited to: analysts, representatives, senior attorneys, and Administrative Law Judges; filing of appeals and requests for review; drafting of correspondence to all appropriate parties, including clients and the government; explanation of detailed legal issues to clients; and follow-up on status of fee payment to clients and the firm. Must have some knowledge of the adjudicatory process and the nature of each stage. Must have excellent communication skills and can successfully multi-task while maintaining good customer service. Should have knowledge of Social Security disability law. Prior experience working in the Social Security disability field is required. Fluency in Spanish is required. Experience with Workers' Compensation can be helpful.
