Insurance Defense Paralegal The candidate will provide overall support to attorneys' business needs. Trial attendance and assistance. Manage full caseload. Draft required pleadings. Draft Expert Disclosures, Witness & Exhibit Lists, and prepare exhibits for trial. Mediation, deposition, and trial preparation with attorney. Aderant Total Office formerly known as Client Profiles (experience with a case management software). Coordinate mediations, hearings and depositions. Assist with transcription and answering phone calls, when needed. Should have 3+ years experience with Insurance Defense (PIP a plus). Must have thorough understanding of the Insurance Defense Litigation process. Must be knowledgeable of rules of procedure, local rules and how to locate and understand judicial practice guidelines/preferences. Must be proficient in e-filing with the state portal, Hover, JAWS, JACS, and other court related platforms for scheduling and filing. Knowledge & understanding of billing to exceed monthly billing minimum. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
